Dionne, Maryanne and Estella aka Nu-Life have been together for over a decade, their breathtaking debut album has been over three years in the making and is already a piece of music history. Because Nu-Life didn’t beat just one, not two, but three major label American acts to be crowned Best Gospel Act at The MOBO Awards. The fact that two of those acts just so happened to be America’s two biggest selling gospel acts Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary simply makes this story even more amazing. Their debut album has been successful in the UK and 2010 sees Nu-Life spread there wings further afield into other territories. Live wise they have set a precedent having done their own sell out tour of the UK including selling out three nights in a row in Birmingham and appearing as headline support to Angie Stone, The Sounds Of Blackness, Kirk Franklin, Michelle Williams, Mary Mary, Ne-Yo and many more. Nu Life have performed at venues such as the Apollo Hammersmith, Ronnie Scotts, The Drum, The Jazz Café and they have even done a royal performance for the Queen at Symphony Hall. Nu Life have been seen on BBC 1, BBC 3, Channel 5, Channel 4, ITV and Sky TV and have been heard on Radio 1, Radio 2, Galaxy, Kiss FM, Choice FM, Smooth, 1 Xtra, Various ILR and BBC county stations.
So to now, here available fully for the first time outside the UK is the breathtaking debut album from arguably the greatest vocal group the UK has ever produced and that isn’t just my own opinion. When you have people such as Trevor Nelson (BBC Radio 1, MTV, BBC TV) saying “Vocally and musically one of the best acts to have come from the UK ever”, A&R Guru and Director Nick Raphael of White Rabit / Sony BMG say “Vocally stunning and musically absolutely amazing and the best bit of all they are British”, Steve Sutherland (Galaxy Radio Network) said “Jaw dropping vocalists that have brought gospel music and R&B together as one”, meanwhile Richard Searling (Smooth FM Network) said “A breathtaking array of vocals and musical production that showcases all that is good in today’s modern contemporary soul, jazz, gospel and R&B” and even the UK’s music press agree, they said “Their Vocal power is reminiscent of En Vogue”. I guess you really have no option but to sit up and take note of what this amazing trio have already achieved because it is more than some acts manage in a lifetime. When you add Nu-Life's vocals to an album entirely produced by the UK’s hottest production team, 5am, who have already worked with amongst others Lemar, Usher, Kelly Rowland, Joe and Christina Aguilera. You know you have something very special in your hands.
So make sure you take a listen and enjoy an uplifting musical experience that is timeless from a group that has already made history with their music. To hear this breathtaking album simply contact us below.
