When was the last time the UK could say it had a true pop princess?. Well in Sheigh we now have just that, she makes no excuses for recording great pop music with great pop songs and she doesn’t try to cover it up as anything else. In Sheigh the UK truly has an act that can rival the likes of JoJo and Rhiana. She has wrote or co wrote the entire album and at 20 years of age she must be one of the worlds let alone one of the UK’s brightest singer song-writing prospects. The songs she writes really are far ahead of her age. The album, three years in the making, has been recorded entirely in Europe but mainly in the UK by the cream of today’s European producers. Producers such as 5am, renowned UK producers/remixes that have worked with the likes of Lemar, Usher, Destiny’s Child, Nu Life, Kelly Rowland, Donell Jones, Christina Aguilera to name a few of the many. Jo Perry who is currently writing songs for the likes of Stargate and is actually managed as producer/songwriter in America by Stargate Managements Danny D. Andy Mac who has remixed the likes of Craig David, Blackstreet, Beverly Knight and Destiny Child. Music Eye Productions who has recorded tracks with one of Irelands biggest new pop bands Clozure as well as up and coming UK acts Seliah, Twisted Ribbon and Que. Finally Chris Patrick (Rockism Productions) who has worked with up and with Abi, Anusha and Leon Grant. He has also remixed Neyo and Jamie Foxx. Sheigh’s early development was at the same school of development as Pixie Lott and since those early days Sheigh has matured both vocally and with her song-writing skillls.
The thing is Sheigh simply ticks all the boxes that will make her a worldwide superstar in the coming years. Her incredible song-writing is really what makes Sheigh so different from the rest, it has to be heard to be believed and even then people have to pinch themselves at the fact that a 20 year old that actually started writing for her debut album at just 16 can write with such maturity and vision. Add her powerful vocals, amazing live performances as support to the like of Ne-Yo, Lemar, Jamelia and Simon Webbe, to name a few of the many and add her looks into the equation and you really have the ultimate pop star for today’s market that will appeal to everyone. So it is no wonder a number of UK major and independent labels are chasing this superstar of the future.
